Candace has done an incredible amount of research on the role of women from indigenous tribes here in the Pacific Northwest; the very important and special role they played in keeping the peace, the inter-marriage with men who came out West to find new lives, work, and have families.  She gives a voice to those who have been ignored in most history books…the women, the Peace Weavers.
