Media promotes over and over how many black males are victimized.  Dr. Varner works in the ER of a hospital.  Being an African American he felt it was time to address the issue about interactions with police, eliminating a mentality that creates a hostile environment that serves no one well, and how the numbers of abusive situations can be reduced substantially, if  not eliminated.
