Marie is German.  This is the story of a survivor of WWII who was considered the enemy and had to make the adjustment to the horrors of war that she and her family didn’t believe in.  Her father was killed in Russia in a battle that slaughtered thousands of young German men.  This is a view from the other side of the coin of War.  It is a coin that shows the true story of war’s victims, regardless of which side they are on.
